Maps Access— The main entrance to studio one Toi Tū is at 1 Ponsonby road. Disabled access is to the rear of the main building through the gates and down the driveway. Ground Rooms 7—9— Three studio spaces [with two trestle tables per space if required]. The cell block also contains one shared break-out space and an exhibition space for all residents’ use Level 1 Rooms 10—Shared Studio— Shared studio space for twelve residents. This well-lit space is the largest of studio one’s three studio spaces and will suit creative practices with limited mess. Twelve large tables will be available, able to be configured by residents. Rooms 11—Teaching Studio— A dedicated teaching space for multi-use activities such as painting, print-making etc. and includes equipment such as easels & painting boards. A list of equipment can be found here. Villa Rooms 12—Teachiing Studio— A dedicated teaching space for sculptural practices such as, ceramics, objectmakers and sculpture. Rooms 13—Shared Studio— one shared studio housing up to four people. residents of this shared studio pay a slightly higher charge as they have access to the storeroom, room 12 and the machinery shop (two days per week - sunday and monday). residents can also book additional workshop and kiln time (at current charges) when not in use by scheduled classes.residents will also be able to locate their own equipment in the shared machinery shop at a small charge.
